Game SpotLight : Transformers Fall of Cybertron Multiplayer Demo

So as promised I have my thoughts on the TFOC multiplayer- without further aduea here we go!

So the demo gives us basically the same 4 class in the previous one but with different names and tweaks (not too sure why).
The classes' names have changed from the previous ones to the new more ambiguous ones:
Leader= Destroyer
Soldier= Titan
Scientist= Scientist
Scout=  Infiltrator

Okay let's get started shall we?

Now for those who are unfamiliar with the two games, Destroyer(for the demo) primarily has blow up weapons with rockets and pulse blasts that do splash damage. Along with with having some powerful vehicles rockets they can also form a barrier to deflect bullets but only in front of them. Flanking owns this ability easily and considering the one map is a huge circle, its beset to choose wisely when deploying it. These guys have the coolest land vehicles in my opinion, and despite it being slow, it hits hard.

Titans kept the scrapper-makers (lmg) and a shotgun that drains health(it's insane). It hurts pretty well so overall titans are the worse to get close to. Their tank cannon is about a 2 direct hit kill and the whirlwind has been nerfed since the last game. It's easily dodged and each hits clearly does less damage in this game than the previous. Now due to whirlwind being a bit underwhelming, I was confused about the idea of only allowing one ability in-game rather than two like before. The change was a bit silly and warranted a decent explanation.

Scientist haven't changed much but the assault rifle has been buffed a bit which makes a scientist very deadly from nearly any range. We see the heal feature which is no longer a gun but an ability which recovers in mere seconds, also you can shoot with so it doesn't leave you helpless - nice change. Jet mode has auto lock on vehicles and jets are the best for escaping hot situations.

Infiltrator are the same through and through, they can cloak, they can snipe and they have a nasty shotgun. Everything seems the same except in the demo we didn't see any cloaking buffs to damage.  Infiltrators on this game is that one answer to any question. Long range? Short range? Med range? Need to escape?
This class can do it all and make killing easier for the player. I'm not saying they're OP, just stating that you can NEVER go wrong with a Infiltrator, they are built to be exceptional in any case scenario unlike other classes that have weaknesses.

Matchmaking is still a bit buggy, I see migrating hosts was included but it does so sloppily, that it throws you out of the feel. Customization is cool, you get to form your own robot, well kinda, its more of just putting different pieces of  iconic character together to form a Frankenstein bot. I was hoping that changing certain parts would change performance of vehicle but its merely only for looks. Me personally, didn't care what my bot looked like so long as it didn't stand out, so this feature doesn't arouse me as it did others. Surprisingly there were hackers already servers using moves not yet unlocked and spamming with nonsense, seems the code hasn't gotten better on that end. One of the biggest mistakes this demo made was not including party matching- which is stupid for game based around classes and teamwork! I'm just shocked they would leave it out which also lends to the idea that his network is still as shaky as the demo leads us to believe.

I may sound negative but I actually enjoyed the multiplayer, just wasn't "wowed" by it. They included the Halo shields for some unknown reason, guess the robots didn't want to get they're battle-ready armored bodies damaged too badly. That addition just felt a bit off to me, that's all. Hopefully classes become more diverse in their teamwork functions. We have medics that can heal but I would appreciate all classes have a support and aggressive ability like the Soldier's ammo beacon. So far I like what I'm seeing but the first time in a long time, I'm more excited about the offline than the online. Take that anyway you want, but as I said it was fun, just hoping that the full version gives me more to work with.... a lot more. Considering its a demo, I'm sure it will!
